RAHEL ZWEIG

Born, lives and works in Switzerland. 

Rahel Zweig ist seid 40 jahren als Künstlerin tätig. Ihre Arbeit ist interdisziplinär, zwischen Performance, sozialen
Projekten und  Kunst.  Als Labantänzerin ausgebildet, hat sie ungefähr 12 Jahre 1986 - 1998 damit gearbeitet 
danach den Bachelor für Kunst absolviert. Die letzten 8 Jahre hat sie sich mit Keramik auseinandergesetzt. 

Rahel Zweig has been an artist for 40 years, with an interdisciplinary practice that includes performace and social projects. She was trained as a Laban dancer and performed for approximately 12 years, between 1986 and 1998. In the last 8 years, she has concentrated on ceramics.

1992-2020   Founder of the project Curumim (Children) in Rio de Janeiro. The art project started in rural favelas of Rio, and grew into a large project for youth and family education. 

1991-1992  Worked with the Teatro Opprimido, founded by Augusto Boal, theatre for oppressed  people, Rio de Janiero.
