Steine und Ikebana, oder wie Kandisky mich berührte

2022 -2023

Meine  Keramikarbeiten sind beeinflusst durch die Faszination mit Steinen. Ich verarbeite diese expressiv und verbinde sie mit der Idee des japanischen Ikebana, welche die Beziehung vom Menschen zur Natur betont. Jedoch suche ich nicht die Harmonie, welche Ikebana mit den Blumenarrangements anstrebt, sondern archaische Emotionen welche uns Menschen durch eine universelle Kraft verbindet. In den Steinen materialisiere ich meine Emotionen.  Alles was man einmal erlebt hat hinterlässt eine Spur in uns und durch die Kunst kommt es wieder hervor. Möglichst unfiltriert, den Fokus auf Material, Form, Farbe.
Ich verbinde den Stein mit Pflanzenformen und erarbeite ein metaphysisches Konzept von Emotionen und universeller Verbundenheit. Der Stein ist der volle Teil, hier projiziere ich Gefühle, und die Pflanze unterstreicht die Leere, die nackte Kraft der Natur, sie soll die universelle Verbundenheit zwischen uns spürbar machen.

My latest ceramic work is influenced by my fascination with stones and nature. I'm interested in projecting my feelings and the idea of the Japanese art form, Ikebana, which emphasises emptiness. But I am not interested in traditional Ikebana notions of harmony and balance, but rather in creating connections in space and via universal spiritual bonds. (Kandinsky " Concerning the spiritual in art)  My feelings are guided by my subconscious. Every experience in life leaves traces upon us, and it comes out in our art, via personal choices of material, form, colour . 

 My art engages with stone and plant forms. I am interested in metaphysical concepts of our emotions and our universal connection. The stones are the emotional part, where I invest my feelings.  And then, the presence of the flower or plant underscores the naked nature of the object, and our universal connection is expressed.
